Vincent Braukämper is an expert in metabolic optimization and integrative health.
His mission: Making health simple, clear, and actionable.
The approach: Combining science and real-world practice.
Because scientific data alone isn't enough – and anecdotal experience without structure is unreliable.
True results come from integrating both.
The vision: A healthy society built on strong individuals.
Because a clear mind and a resilient body shouldn't be the exception – they should be the standard.
My Story
I've been passionate about sports my entire life. But everything changed when, after years of intense skateboarding, I ended up in rehab with a serious knee injury.
An expert told me I’d likely struggle to walk properly in the near future.
That hit me hard – but accepting it was never an option.
At 17, I encountered rehabilitation and strength training for the first time – even though I had always avoided gyms and weights.
Surprisingly, I was fascinated.
At the same time, I became aware of my own physical limitations: a stubborn layer of fat that wouldn’t go away, and what felt like a resistance to building muscle – nothing seemed to work.
It frustrated me deeply.
But more than that, it lit a fire: I had to understand what was going on. And I had to find a solution.
So I dove deeper. Over the years, I explored everything from training theory, rehabilitation, orthopedics, and physiotherapy to biochemistry and nutrition science.
Bit by bit, the pieces started to fit.
New challenges followed – but that’s a story for another time.

Qualifications & Education
Bottom line?
Honestly, I could have skipped most of it.
Only the training at Strength First was worth every cent – and every single hour invested.

The Problem
The core issue in the health sector – from medical and sports education to various certifications – is twofold:
Outdated knowledge is still being taught, and there’s a complete lack of interdisciplinary thinking.
Most doctors have little to no understanding of nutrition.
Orthopedic specialists often know nothing about physiotherapy or strength training.
Yet when it comes to things like injury rehab, you need all four areas working together.
And if we zoom in on nutrition, the picture doesn’t get much better:
The system is full of misinformation (e.g. “eggs are dangerous”), while the open market promotes extreme oversimplifications and scams (e.g. “it’s all about calories”).
The right path
… is easy to walk – but hard to find.
It connects disciplines instead of separating them.
It integrates training and movement, metabolism and nutrition, emotions and thoughts.
The experience
During my years as a health coach, I’ve worked one-on-one with well over 1,000 people – and even more in group settings.
(Here are a few testimonials.)
The reason I was able to create breakthrough, life-changing results – even in so-called “hopeless” cases – wasn’t just training, nutrition, or supplementation (a highly underrated lever!).
It was, almost always, the mental focus that made the difference.
It Didn’t Come Easy.
The slowest...
If someone had tested me as a kid for athletic talent, I would’ve been cut from every program within a minute.
In the 1,000-meter run, I finished dead last.
Every overweight kid ran faster than me.
As a teenager – even with strength training – I had probably the skinniest arms you can imagine.
At 16, I couldn’t do a single push-up.
When I started training in the gym, I couldn’t even press the empty barbell.
Many untrained women were stronger than me.
And worst of all?
It didn’t get better for months.
The Hardest Setbacks
By the end of 2013, I had finally made it: my fat metabolism was running efficiently, and I could build muscle almost at will.
But what came next – and we’re staying purely physical here – was something I never saw coming.
2014/15: Half a year of illness, followed by an anaphylactic shock after taking antibiotics. Cause: unknown to this day.
2016: Lumbar disc herniation (L5/S1).
2018: Muscle tear in the chest with incomplete healing, followed by a secondary tear in the biceps. Achilles tendonitis.
2019: Hip impingement.
2021: Burnout.
2022: Near-death experience due to appendicitis and denial of emergency surgery in a Mexican hospital.
Also in 2022: Reactive arthritis – and several months in a wheelchair.
Lifelong (until 2021): IBS and chronic digestive issues.
I had to face all of these challenges – and more.
But each of them taught me something.
And through each one, I grew – not just for myself, but so I could help others do the same.

Why so many don’t make it
“Winners find ways. Losers find excuses.”

The key insight
No one is just a loser.
Every person carries the potential for strength, clarity, and action within them.
So what’s missing for most people who can’t seem to move forward?
It’s rarely more information.
What they truly lack is a clear why – their inner drive, their core motivation.
And the reasons for this are obvious:
Distraction (reels, shorts, dopamine loops), uncertainty, fear.
These forces bury the deep inner purpose we all carry – and lead people to waste years of their lives.
Until, one day, they look back with regret.
That’s why I made a decision:
To share most of my insights in health and performance freely or at cost –
and to shift my coaching focus toward the mental dimension.
Because I want to live in a world where more people are strong, clear, and self-directed.
People who are at peace with themselves – and live each day with meaning.
From that place, by the way, building your dream body becomes easy.
If it’s still important to you at all.
